Hamari has been in America for 4 years now trying to accomplish her goal of being the first doctor in her family and thought that America would give her the best education for that. All Hamari ever does is study for exams, do homework and try to get extra credit from any classes she can. She was willing to leave all her family and friends behind to achieve her goal, Hamari’s friendships weren’t as valuable as her big dream and to bringing honor to her family. However the only friend that was difficult for her to leave behind was Murasakino. They’ve been best friends since 2nd grade. Working full time and balancing studies has been difficult for Hamari but she was going to go visit her best friend in Japan for spring break.

It was 7:08 PM, Hamari arrived to Tokyo from Harvard medical school. It was a 14 hour flight. The jet lag was awful. Hamari was completely exhausted, so she dranked enough coffee to be able to stay awake. While Hamari got off the plane and headed to the waiting area to look for Murasakino, Murasakino decided to go get some flowers and some of Hamaris favorite treat, mochi ice cream before. When Murasakino finally arrived to pick up Hamari, Everyone in the waiting area went deaf from there loud screaming of excitement when they both saw each other. They hugged for 5 minutes straight and started to tell each long stories until they realized that they could be doing this at Murasakino’s apartment.

  Murasakino drove Hamari and herself to her apartment and thought that they should have a calming spa day inside her apartment to relax, because Hamari must be stress of flying and traveling and studying so much. Murasakino took out face masks, nail tech equipment, candles, and lotions. Murasakino was very fond of beauty and took beautician classes. Murasakino searches for a lighter and placed various candles around the living room to set a relaxing mood. Then Murasakino gave Hamari a pedicure while she relaxed on a chair with her avocado face mask. Hamari fell asleep while Murasakino was giving her a pedicure, after finishing Hamaris toes she started to do her own. She messed up her design for her toe nails and she kept struggling but also kept attempting. Every 5 seconds she picked up a cotton ball moist with nail polish remover, and the same blue nail polish. When she finally perfected the design she got up and began to make snacks for herself and when Hamari woke up, While she walked to the kitchen she accidentally knocked over the opened nail polish remover that landed directly on a candle. Stupidly Murasakino did not acknowledge it and proceeded to walk to the kitchen. As she prepared some sandwiches she heard Hamari scream “THERE’S A FIRE, MURASAKINO HURRY GET SOME WATER” Hamari without thinking poured the water from her pedicure into the flames, that contained some nail polish remover from when Murasakino tried to rub off Hamaris old nail polish. The flames began to burst and continued to grow. By the time Murasakino ran with a bucket the flames had gotten to some other candles and the whole bottle of nail polish remover. Both friends had not seen eachother in 4 years, and now have died the same night they reunited.
